Our Temporary Residence

Chris Hearty
1 Peter 1:17-25

What if we view this life as our permanent residence? The Bible is clear that this life is only temporary. 1 Peter 1 details God's incredible motivating plan to help us align our hearts and minds with our true home in heaven and away from all of the distractions that so often entangle us. Easter/The Resurrection

Ben Foust
1 Corinthians 15:1-58

Paul explains to the Corinthian church the importance of the resurrection to the Christian faith-- a historical event corroborated by substantial evidence. Because of Jesus' resurrection, believers in Christ can be confident that we too will one day be raised to eternal life with him.

What it Means to be Human

Ryan Weingartner
Genesis 2:15-25

Genesis chapter 2 describes people as God created them to be: free will beings who delight in hard work, relationships, and the pursuit of knowledge. However, as a result of the fall, we experience a damaged version of this, but we have the hope that in heaven we will be restored to the fullness of all we were intended to be.

Exploring the Afterlife

Conrad Hilario
2 Corinthians 5:1-10

Paul writes to the Corinthians about hope for the afterlife. Unlike other religions, the Bible describes Heaven as a physical, earthly place, where we will have physical, resurrected bodies and meaningful experiences and relationships. This hope for the afterlife has several implications for how Christians live in this life.

The Afterlife

James Rochford
1 Corinthians 15:20-58

What happens after death? What will the afterlife be like? What will our resurrected bodies be like? The apostle Paul gives an overview of what's coming after death for those who believe in Jesus Christ.

Resurrection Bodies

Scott Risley
1 Corinthians 15:20-58

Being immersed in the Greek philosophies of Platonism and dualism, the Corinthian church had serious misconceptions of the afterlife, many of which persist for us today. Paul assures us that Heaven will be a real, physical place and that we will have physical resurrected bodies. It will not be otherworldly, but familiar, retaining all the best things about life here on Earth, including relationships, learning, memories, and travel.

Sensing Your Soul

Dennis McCallum
2 Corinthians 5:1-10

The existence and personal experience of our soul is readily available evidence that we have a personal, creator God. After defining the soul, we can begin to assess arguments for and against the existence of the soul. This presentation examines several key lines of evidence, including high order consciousness, near death experiences, indications of free week, as well as discrediting parts of the no-soul view. The existence of the soul is overwhelming, and it leads us to the logical conclusion that there must be a supernatural God.

Goals and Grace

James Rochford
Matthew 25:24-29

Paul uses athletic imagery to encourage Christians to reach for more in their walks with God. He indicates that rewards await us in heaven as we strive and succeed in our work for God. This teaching covers godly reasons for setting realistic goals and working hard to meet them in your walk with God.
