Global Workers

Global Workers are members of Dwell who are dedicated to the Great Commission: making disciples of Christ among the nations (Matt. 28:18-20). Global Workers can play a crucial role in starting, advancing, and supporting church planting movements in unreached areas where billions of people still have yet to hear an accessible explanation of the gospel.

As a sending church, we are committed to sending quality, effective cross-cultural workers overseas. The sending process is a joint effort between the prospective worker and the local church's leadership, seeking to discern God’s calling together. We will send Global Workers who meet our character and competence qualifications. We will prioritize quality over quantity, recognizing that few are called to and qualified for this kind of work. At a minimum, Global Workers overseas must belong to the Servant Team.

There are three types of Global Workers at Dwell. We esteem, affirm, and celebrate all Global Workers who diversely contribute to the Great Commission.

Global Partner: Global Workers in this category facilitate house church planting movements by functioning as on-site catalysts for a Global Partner, coming alongside and empowering an existing core of indigenous or near-neighbor workers overseas. This work is our top sending priority since it aligns highly with our vision and core values. Global Workers are sent to new or existing fields when we conclude indigenous or near-neighbor workers need on-site catalysts.

Strategic Partner: Global Workers in this category are directly involved in church planting and disciple-making overseas and are at various stages of establishing a core of indigenous or near-neighbor workers. Strategic Partners can become Global Partners.

Support Role: Global Workers in this category are indirectly involved in church planting and disciple-making, working for missions agencies or parachurch organizations, and playing roles in pastoral and strategy support, mobilization, or administration.
