TNT Director Kyra Brugler answers some questions about this year’s camp, which runs from June 19th-23rd:

What is TNT Camp?

TNT Camp is a day camp with daily teachings, activities, and sports for our students entering the 4th & 5th Grade (current 3rd and 4th grade students). There will be an optional overnight on Thursday as well for those who wish to participate.

What's the goal for kids of this age? How does the camp serve that goal?

The goal is to help them love learning about God and have fun while they are doing it! This particular age group is when they can start to develop deeper thoughts about Biblical truths, but they can still be kids. We start to move away from "kiddish" activities and towards more spiritual depth while keeping it lighthearted and fun. This year, we have a burden to think of ways we can make it even more engaging for our boys in TNT as well.

What have kids and leaders enjoyed about the camp?

The teachings are awesome and come from gifted teachers in our church who have experience working with kids! The discussions groups for those are separated into boys and girls to start to develop deeper friendships within their gender. Also, we have a color theme for the week that's super fun--color "teams" compete against each other and it keeps the competition high. I am really looking forward to the overnight, which we have back up and running after a few years' hiatus!
