Join in on the exciting work of Dwell’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) this June! VBS is looking for caring volunteers to help it share the love of God with hundreds of kids. It runs June 19-23.
VBS is a week of music, activities, skits and teachings. It needs 120 adults and 60 students (entering 6th grade to 12th grade) to serve in a variety of roles–leading classrooms, helping with crafts and games, serving snacks, and other roles.
Past volunteers say it’s a wonderful opportunity. Sue Kroger says serving in VBS impacts her as she gets to see kids get excited about Jesus, and as an Oasis worker, sees the lasting impact of VBS. “I love hearing kindergarteners share their summer VBS memories–in January!”
VBS volunteer Amber Moore says seeing young kids understand God’s love for them and His character has greatly blessed her. “They are curious, energetic, and full of fun. I leave VBS every year energized and refreshed, getting to be a part of it.” Kate Clark agrees. “I always feel that the blessing in working with them is greater to me than to them.”
You can volunteer at this link. If you have questions, contact Krystal Goldthwaite.
And registration is open for families wanting to attend VBS. It’s open to kids 4 years to 3rd grade, and is a great way to share Jesus with families in your neighborhood. They’ll have a blast! Here’s the link to sign up.
